Installation
The
following is some relevant information on the installation
of a bow or stern thruster on your boat. |
Installation Info: |
Installation of two bow thrusters
behind each other (for larger boats). In this case, depending
on weather conditions, one or both bow thrusters may be
activated. Should there be doubt whether one larger-bow
thruster should be installed, or, alternatively, two smaller
units, one behind the other, the latter possibility is
definitely worth considering. |
|
In the case of a planing
vessel: we position the tunnel in such a manner that it
will be clear from the water when the bow rises. In that
case there will be no resistance whatsoever. |
|
We make sure the thruster is always
within reach for easy changing of zincs. |
|
For the best results, we position
the tunnel as far forward in the bow as possible. |
|
Add a stern thruster
If, in addition to controlling the bow, the sideways movement
of the stern needs to be controlled, a bow thruster may
also be installed in the aft end as a stern thruster. |
