Jenneau
41 transom modification
Pictured is
the transom of the older model Jenneau 41 sloop. The new owner
requested a sugar scoop transom with step modification which
is more functional and similar to newer models. We made the
modification and then applied a new Awl Grip flag blue paint
job to the entire boat.
Custom
pilot house
I built this
for a high speed Canyon runner fishing catamaran.
I wanted it to be durable and light weight so I used Airex
foam rather than any wood. I first built a formica and plywood
mold to owners specific needs then gel coated and molded it
one piece with the foam core. We final coated it with Awl
Grip and added windows. We also built a welded upper station
using anodized aluminum tubing.
Custom
hatch for bow thruster installation
This was a hatch
installed for a bow thruster on a Grady White 275 Tournament.
The owner wanted a hatch installed to match the pre-existing hatch
aft of the thruster. I cut the floor open to install the bow thruster
and then proceeded with building the hatch opening.
This shows the
cut-out for the new hatch, ground down to be reglassed.
I applied a layer
of fiberglass mat between 3/4'' ac plywood cleets all around the
opening, screwing them down and then glassed over this with two
additional layers of mat.
This shows the
final product, bodyworked with gelcoat to match.
With the hatch
installed, leaving access for the bow thruster.
